The holiday season is upon us—a time of warmth, reflection, and hope for tomorrow. I want to share a story with you—my story—because it’s also your story. Without the kindness of people like you and the support of The Sharing Center, I wouldn’t be here today.

I am originally from Texas, where I earned my license as a Master’s Level Social Worker. But life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way. Before I knew it, I found myself in a transitional home, struggling to rebuild my life. It was during this dark chapter that I was introduced to The Sharing Center.

Through TSC’s ProjectRISE program, I began to reclaim my self-worth.

With every word of encouragement, I rediscovered the confidence I had lost. The Sharing Center reminded me that my past did not have to dictate my future. Today, I am an intern with TSC’s Mental Health Counseling program, working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. And it was made possible because someone like you decided that people like me deserve a second chance and a “Hope for Tomorrow.”

But this isn’t just about me. The Sharing Center provides hope through the Families in Crisis program, The Pantry, the Oasis, and free mental health counseling. Last year, they served over 50,000 people. The need is growing, and right now, there are countless others who are holding onto the hope that someone believes in them.
